Before you build things, there's a lot to learn. Material technology. Project scheduling. Construction documentation. Estimating. Cost management. Environmental systems. Field engineering. Safety and risk management. Plus communication, leadership and management skills.

At the Academy, you'll work on projects specifically designed to provide current workplace experience. You'll gain advice from active industry professionals in class and out in the field.

Instruction starts with basic principles of analysis, calculation, drafting and layout. Designs students will thoroughly study the National Electrical Code (NEC).
