Pathways: Dunwoody College of Technology has made a commitment to fill the prosperity pipeline with well trained and qualified candidates for lucrative jobs.

Dunwoody College has developed a high school, called Dunwoody Academy with a rigorous academic program and applied learning environment that teaches critical 21^st Century skills such as technological literacy. Dunwoody Academy will provide career technical education in the following areas; health care, construction, automotive and manufacturing technologies.

An analysis of data collected from the Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals that careers in health care, manufacturing, construction and automotive are all growth industries in the 21^st Century. Economist predicts that in the next 10 years that each of these industries will experience at least 10% growth over the next 10 years.

During the grades 9 and 10, all students will take one hour per day of technical courses, designed to allow the students to experience all aspects of the trade and technical areas offered at Dunwoody Academy. These survey courses are designed to introduce students to the four platforms offered by the Academy: construction, health care, automotive and manufacturing. These courses will assist students in making informed decisions when choosing a permanent trade/technical area. Each of these courses will include a combined program of career awareness, trade orientation, hands-on projects, and an academic enrichment program.
